LCT are able to deliver taster courses for schools and local educational establishments, these tasters can lead to vocational GCSE and trade qualifications. All courses offer young learners the opportunity to develop hand skills that will be a necessity in their pursuit of an apprenticeship within the Construction Industry.

LCT is committed to guiding young learners along the Modern Apprentice route.

Courses available in the following trades: Bricklaying, Painting and Decorating,
Plastering and Multi-Skills.


Qualifications

Initial training will include an induction into the centre’s Health and Safety procedures and Equal Opportunities policy. Basic trade training will be a minimum accreditation via an in house certificate.

These are assessed and marked by the tutor, with feedback given on competition of each module. This is a good way to develop an interest and understanding in the trade of the learner’s choice, for new starters with no written assessments involved.
